Most host families live within a 15-mile radius of the Florida Tech campus and ELS Melbourne, with a commute time between 20 and 30 minutes. Florida Institute of Technology Campus Residences offer shared dorm rooms with shared hallway bathrooms. Rooms include two desks, two chairs, two lamps, two beds, mini-fridge, and small microwave. Linens are also included. Self-service laundry machines are available in a nearby dorm for a small fee. The security office is nearby. One resident assistant for each floor or wing—one resident assistant for about every 10 students.
